The Oaks has broken ground for a new barn facility that will house The Oaks Veterinary Clinic Equine & Farm Services.  We are hoping that the barn will be finished by Fall 2008.  The barn will have stalls, a treatment area, and an office for the large animal staff. Welcome to the Oaks Veterinary Clinic Web Site!

The Oaks Veterinary Clinic was established in 1966 by Dr. Ryland B. Edwards, Jr., and was named after the family farm, The Oaks in Smithfield.

In the forty years of practicing veterinary medicine and surgery, the clinic has expanded to its current size which includes eight veterinarians, two licensed veterinary technicians, and other support staff all working to provide compassionate and quality care for your dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, sheep, and pocket pets.

In order to improve medical and surgical facilities and allow for growth of the veterinary practice, the original veterinary facility was remodeled and expanded in 1980 and in 2000.
