Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Patients are seen by appointment only so please call us at 757-357-2324 to schedule your pet for services.
Drop-off services are available at no additional charge when requested- space permitting. Be sure to let us know prior to arrival if you need to drop off your pet.
Boarding patients can be picked up during normal business hours as well as 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on weekends and holidays.
The clinic maintains a full pharmacy including prescription medications, prescription diets, preventative medications and more for added convenience. Please allow 24 hours for all medication and food pickup!

Meet Our Team
Ryland B. Edwards Jr. | DVM
Dr. Edwards has been practicing here in Smithfield since 1966. Dr. Edwards is married, and has two sons and five grandchildren. On their farm live a cat, cows, and horses.
Sharon O'Rawe | DVM
Dr. O'Rawe and her husband have two daughters, three horses, a dog and a cat. Her special interest in veterinary medicine is nutrition. Outside of work she enjoys endurance riding.
Amy Bowman | DVM
Dr. Bowman's special interests include preventive & internal medicine. She lives in Smithfield with her husband, Steve, son Connor, and two dogs, Cy and Bay. She enjoys boating, traveling, and reading.
Erica Clark | DVM
Dr. Clark is passionate about preventative medicine and understands that pets are important four legged members of our families. She lives in Smithfield with her husband Benjamin and three children.
Jessica Mattingly | DVM
Dr. Mattingly has a special interest in preventative medicine, chiropractic, and acupuncture. She lives in Smithfield with her husband James, four kids, and her two yellow labs, and enjoys the outdoors, running, reading, and spending time with her family.
Tracey Ellis | LVT
Tracey attended Eastern Mennonite College and Blue Ridge Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. Tracey has one son as well as two dogs.
Josie Buchanan | LVT
Josie is a native of Smithfield, VA, and graduated from Smithfield High School and the Tidewater Community College program for Veterinary Technology. She has three cats and one dog.
Kristina Castner | LVT
Kristina is a native of Smithfield, VA and graduated from Smithfield High School and the Blue Ridge Community College distance education program for Veterinary Technology.
Stephanie is a native of Newport News. She graduated from Denbigh Baptist School and Tidewater Community College for Veterinary Technology. She lives with her family, two horses, a dog, and a cat in Surry.

Heather grew up in Smithfield and recently graduated from Veterinary Technician School. She lives with her husband and daughter in Windsor and shares her household with two dogs and several cats. She spends her time fostering kittens for local shelters.

Nicole Alexander | Office
Nicole moved with her husband to Smithfield from Germany, where they share their household with three dogs, four cats, and multiple chickens.
